Review of the week from our Bug Jason

What a combination for a sell out night in the Point, P.Diddy, the supposedly master of performances and shizzle my nizzle, Snoop-Dogg! What a combination for a gig, both from two sides of the recording industry but on the same stage.
The opening after the long and I mean long interval, was not what I had come to expect from the rumours of P.Diddy’s entrances on stage. It was only alright to put it mildly but none the less kept me amused. His opening song was a massive hit with the fans and from that point on I don’t think he lived up to the anticipation or rave reviews he has earned in the previous years. I was, in someway, expecting that little bit more but it never came! He amused the crowd with a lot of his past favourites and the audience lapped it up with great enthusiasm but still lacked that extra kick.
Then, not a moment too soon, the kick arrived and in the shape of Snoop Dogg. A very quiet entrance but the simple fact of him being on stage took the crowd to the next level. The audience erupted to his songs and you could tell who the fans had made the journey to see! Although P.Diddy was good, Snoop Dogg took the spotlight and in certain ways saved the show.
What was promised by P.Diddy at the opening, was a proper show and that they were going to give their fans a show worthy of the price of their ticket, the fans were far from disappointed. It is the first time I’ve been to a gig where the main performers stayed on stage for two and a half hours. They created a good spectacle, and then with the introduction of Snoop Dogg it turned into a great one. There was a lot of arm lifting that is renowned for their gigs and an awful lot of audience participation which kept the fans enthralled.
